They are usually called upon to lead an audit team, plan assessments, and deliver professional expertise and services to the highest quality. It is vitally important that they possess experience and knowledge of GHG fundamentals and climate change science, as well as risk assessment concepts.
Often they manage multiple projects and clients on a daily basis overseeing a management system or similar management system (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) design and implementation or assessments, provide certification body assessments (ISO/IEC 17021, Guide 65, or similar standards), assess data management and information systems, and assess accounting systems.
