Environmental Labor / HAZWOPER

This field works to identify, remove, package, transport and dispose of various hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead, and radioactive and nuclear materials.  There is also an emergency response component that works to quickly contain and remove accidental hazardous emissions.  This removal is known in the industry as abatement, remediation, and decontamination and requires specialty knowledge, skills and training to be done correctly.

A vital part of that training is the Occupational Safety & Health Administration 40 Hour Hazardous Work Operations and Emergency Responses Certification (HAZWOPER) which is required by law in order to work with any hazardous materials.

Professions in this field we routinely recruit include:

  • Asbestos Abatement Technicians
  • Lead Abatement Technicians
  • Emergency and Disaster Response Technicians
  • Decontamination Technicians
  • Radiation-protection Technicians
  • Decommissioning and Decontamination Technicians
  • Treatment, Storage and Disposal Technicians
  • Mold Remediation Technicians
