Geography Information Systems (GIS)

This is a computer program for creating, storing, analyzing and managing spatial data and associated attributes.  It is capable of integrating, storing, editing, analyzing, sharing and displaying geographically-referenced information in order to make the information visual and therefore, more easily understandable.  This technology is fundamental to modern land development and construction projects because it allows for more advanced planning and earlier decision making on a variety of issues.
