Geological Services

This field deals with the study and analysis of the composition, structure and other physical aspects of the earth.  In environmental geology those geologic principles are applied to the fields of civil and environmental engineering, offering advice on major construction projects and assisting in environmental remediation and natural hazard-reduction projects. 

It can also involve managing geological and hydrogeological resources such as fossil fuels, minerals, water (surface and ground water) and land use, defining and mitigating exposure of natural hazards on humans, managing industrial and domestic waste disposal and minimizing or eliminating effects of pollution, and performing associated activities, often involving litigation.
