Soils Engineer

At Sequence, we have long worked in the soils engineering sector and clearly know the vital role it has in the engineering field.

These engineers, also known as geotechnical soils engineers, are civil engineers who specialize in soil analysis (geotechnical investigation), water drainage, and other factors influencing the designs of foundations and the structures built on them. This includes providing analysis, design, and construction services for geotechnical, transportation, water resources, mining, and environmental projects.

Soils engineers are generally tasked with conducting field investigations, including geotechnical drilling and sampling, dam inspections, and environmental sampling; conducting geotechnical analyses, including analyses of slope stability, seepage, stress analysis of soils and embankments, bearing capacity, foundation settlement, liquefaction, etc.; conducting engineering calculations; preparing reports; preparing drawings and technical specifications; preparing material quantity calculations and cost estimates; and providing construction oversight and other support services.

Sequence is your partner in the soils engineering field.

Sequence has been a leader recruiting and staffing soils engineers; because we know and understand this discipline and how important this component is in the construction, engineering and environmental industries.  We have established ourselves as the premier recruiting and staffing firm committed to providing employment solutions to these major industries worldwide.

The soils engineers we have worked with have been very experienced with investigating existing subsurface conditions and materials; determining their physical/mechanical and chemical properties that are relevant to the project considered, assessing risks posed by site conditions; designing earthworks and structure foundations; and monitoring site conditions, earthwork and foundation construction.

A typical soils engineering project begins with a review of project needs to define the required material properties. Then follows a site investigation of soil, rock, fault distribution and bedrock properties on and below an area of interest to determine their engineering properties including how they will interact with, on or in a proposed construction.

Site investigations are needed to gain an understanding of the area in or on which the engineering will take place. Investigations can include the assessment of the risk to humans, property and the environment from natural hazards such as earthquakes, landslides, sinkholes, soil liquefaction, debris flows and rock falls. The soils engineer then determines and designs the type of foundations, earthworks, and/or pavement sub-grades required for the intended man-made structures to be built.

Sequence: we can be counted on to recruit only the finest soils engineers for your firm.

With a long history working in the soils engineering sector, Sequence has developed an expertise unparalleled in the executive recruiting and staffing industry.  We know and understand the technical and professional nuances of this field.  As a result, we have developed a team of highly experienced, skilled recruiters and staffing professionals with broad industry experience.  They know soils engineering.

Their expansive industry network means they know where to find you the finest talent and how to obtain the best and the brightest soils engineers for your organization.

Sequence offers a complete menu of HR services.
